A routine police house search took an unexpected turn when one of the men inside suddenly leapt from an upstairs window as officers moved through the home.
Footage shows the stunned officers rushing outside, shouting for him to stop, and then demanding: “Why did you jump?!” The man, visibly shaken and limping, seemed unable to give a clear answer, only muttering that he “didn’t want to be caught upstairs.”
The clip has gone viral, with viewers split between shock and laughter. Some called it “the dumbest escape attempt ever,” while others said it showed just how desperate people can get when faced with the law.
Police later confirmed the man was taken into custody and treated for minor injuries after the dramatic leap.
