A woman has taken “petty” to a whole new level after reportedly suing her best friend for $25,000, claiming she “stole” her boyfriend.
The drama kicked off when 26-year-old Jenna Miles found out her longtime friend Tara had started dating her ex just weeks after their breakup. Instead of blocking and moving on like most people, Jenna decided to take things to court.
According to local reports, Jenna filed a lawsuit accusing Tara of “emotional distress” and “betrayal of trust,” demanding $25,000 in compensation for the “pain and humiliation” she says the relationship caused.
Yes, really.
In the legal documents, Jenna reportedly described her ex as her “soulmate” and claimed Tara had been secretly talking to him for months. Friends say the two had been inseparable for years before the fallout.
Social media, of course, has gone wild over the story. “You can’t trademark a boyfriend,” one commenter wrote, while another said, “This is peak main character energy.”
As for Tara and the ex? They’re apparently still together — and not saying a word about the lawsuit.
No court date has been set yet, but if this one makes it to trial, it’s going to be messy.
