A sweet 67-year-old gran from Newcastle got the fright of her life this Halloween â and the internet cannot stop laughing.
Margaret Thompson says she ânearly keeled overâ after knocking on her neighbourâs door to drop off biscuits⌠only for a motion-sensor zombie prop to scream and leap out of the porch.
CCTV caught the entire thing: Margaret steps up with her tin of shortbread, gives a gentle knock â and within seconds, a life-size ghoul springs forward, howling like something out of The Exorcist.
âShe screamed, dropped the biscuits, and ran faster than she has since 1982,â joked her son, who shared the footage online. âMumâs fine now, but she says sheâs never trick-or-treating again â or baking for the neighbours.â
The clip has already racked up over 4 million views, with comments like:
- âGranny went from 0 to Olympic sprinter real quick đâ
- âThat ghostâs lucky she didnât swing her handbag.â
- âProtect Margaret at all costs đŤśâ
Margaret later laughed about the whole thing, saying:
âThey got me good. I almost needed a new heart and a new batch of biscuits.â
Moral of the story? Scare responsibly â especially if your neighbours bake for you.
