A man completely lost his temper in court after being sentenced to life behind bars.

The 32-year-old, named Marcus Allen, had just learned he’d never see freedom again when the judge handed down his sentence — and things got heated fast.

Witnesses say Allen stood up and started shouting at the judge, slamming his hands on the table as deputies rushed in to calm him down. ā€œYou can’t do this to me!ā€ he reportedly yelled before being dragged out of the courtroom.

The outburst happened moments after Judge Rebecca Moore sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole for a 2023 murder conviction. The judge paused the hearing until Allen was removed, saying the court would ā€œnot tolerate threats or disruptions.ā€

Prosecutors later said the reaction ā€œshowed exactly who he is,ā€ calling it an extension of the anger that led to the crime in the first place.

Outside the courthouse, the victim’s family said they finally felt a sense of closure. ā€œWe’ve waited so long for this,ā€ the victim’s sister told reporters. ā€œNow we can finally breathe.ā€

Allen is expected to be transferred to Illinois State Penitentiary, where he’ll spend the rest of his life.
